Valentine's Day Dinner- A Family Affair

Hey Friends! Welcome to our Valentine's Day at Home Blog Tour. If you are coming over from Laura at Meaningful Spaces, thanks for stopping by! I'm excited to share our annual Valentine's Dinner at Home with you all and I hope you feel so inspired by my friends and I, that you create your own beautiful table this year!

We've actually been doing Valentine's Dinner at home for about 9 years now. Our anniversary is the beginning of February so come 02/14 we've already just had a big romantic dinner or night away together. We decided during our first pregnancy we would make our annual celebration a tradition and involve our kiddos. I always make lasagna, a salad, bread sticks, and dessert. This year will be a little bit different as it will all be plant based but I'm really excited to try a new lasagna recipe! I also get the kids goody bags and use red heart shaped dishes for the salad. It's a really fun night for our littles and reminds them how important love really is.

This year I went with a simple arrangement which was a lot of fun creating. I used the softest pale pink fabric as napkins tied into a knot.

The cake is a gluten free, dairy free vanilla with strawberry cream icing. The addition of fresh strawberries to the icing made the most perfect shade of pale pink and tasted divine!

I hope you enjoyed a little peak at how we celebrate Valentine's Day in our home. If you are continuing on the tour, be sure to head over to my friend Courtney at Tuft and Trim!
